- Roman legions in Britain mutiny against the Roman Emperor and select Marcus as new Roman Emperor. He is soon assassinated and replaced by Gratianus of Britain.
- Gunderic, King of the Germanic Vandals, leads his tribe into Gaul, where they attack the cities of Reims, Amiens, Arras, Tournai, and towns in Aquitaine. This is the beginning of the invasion of Gallia.
