Americentrism

Americentrism or American ethnocentrism refers to the collective views of Americans which are ethnocentrist or culturally biased, and to holders of an American self-image and mythology that prescribes its own values as universally benevolent or comparatively superior. However the term "Americentrism" points to issues where a predominance of American point of view exists, to the detriment of a neutral or world view. Americentrism is a form of ethnocentrism.
