Analog recording is the first way humans was able to conserve sounds. It was first successfully used by Thomas Alva Edison.

The modern examples of the analog recording are

• Vinyl disc (LP).
• Magnetic tape.
• Reel-to-Reel recorders.
• Compact cassette.
