Angeln
Angeln (Angelen) is a peninsula in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, protruding into the Baltic Sea. It is separated from the peninsula of Schwansen by the Schlei inlet, and from the Danish island of Als by the Flensburger Förde ("firth of Flensburg"). The region is the land the Angles left when migrating to Britain. The word in itself means angles, as in angling fish.
