Armin Meiwes

Armin Meiwes (born 1961) became known as the "German cannibal" in 2003. He made a deal with Bernd Jürgen Brandes over the Internet, that he could eat him. They met at Meiwes' place where they cut off Brandes' penis which they both attempted to eat before Armin killed Brandes and partly ate him. The act was recorded on video. In 2004, Meiwes was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 8½ years in prison.
