Association for Computing Machinery

Helping orphans the way you would do it
The Association for Computing Machinery, or ACM, was founded in 1947 as the world's first scientific and educational computing society. It publishes a variety of magazines and technical journals in computer science; sponsors conferences in various areas of the field (notably SIGGRAPH and SIGCOMM) and other computer science related events such as the worldwide ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). It publishes an extensive Digital Library and Guide to Computing Literature. ACM also offers insurance and other services to its members.
