Badger Badger Badger

Sponsorship the way you would do it
Badger Badger Badger is a Macromedia Flash animation by the creator of Weebl and Bob (Weebl's stuff), consisting mainly of images of badgers jumping up and down while the lyric "badger" loops to form an almost techno-style beat. Every now and then, it cuts to the image of either a mushroom or a snake, with the lyrics "Mushroom! Mushroom!" and "Ooh! A snake!" playing during the respective events. If left playing long enough, the sound and video will go out of synchronization. Another popular internet cartoon, bananaphone uses animation from Badger Badger Badger, as well as animations of a Gundam wearing a banana suit.

More recently, it has become an Internet-spread meme, with the "lyrics" being recited both online and in conversation. This is often met with complaints, as the "tune", an earworm, tends to become stuck in the head of the reader or listener as soon as they start thinking about it. People have even been known to reenact the (somewhat limited) activities of the badgers in their own life while repeating the lyrics. There is some speculation as to whether the video is in any way related to the actual relationship of badgers and snakes in their natural ecosystem, and if the author was under the effects of hallucinogens, such as the mushrooms shown in the animation.

Badger Badger Badger has proceeded a worldwide following, with dancing competitions in Australia and widespread coverage in Asia (complete with conspiracy theories).

Also, during the event of Euro 2004, to support the England football team throughout the game Weebl's Stuff created a new animation called Football Badgers, which consisted of lyrics like "Footie footie footie", "England England!", "Goal, its a goal, Ooh its a goal!", etc. replacing the original badger scenes. The badgers are seen wearing the red England shirts and playing football, scoring endless goals against a snake goalkeeper which seems thoroughly uninterested.
