Bernard Bolzano
Bernard Placidus Johann Nepomuk Bolzano (October 5, 1781 – December 18, 1848) was a Czech mathematician, theologian, and philosopher. He was born in Prague.
He is known for Bolzano's theorem, and also jointly with Karl Weierstrass developed the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem.
In his philosophy, Bolzano attacked the idealism of Hegel and Kant by asserting that numbers, ideas, and truths exist apart from the people who think of them.
