The Brecon Beacons National Park is one of three national parks in Wales, United Kingdom. It is centred on the range of hills named the Brecon Beacons, the highest of which is 'Pen y Fan' (886m) which, together with the summits of 'Corn Du', and 'Cribyn', forms the a high level ridge walk called the 'Beacons Horseshoe'. To the west is another distinct range of hills called the 'Black Mountains'. Most of the national park is moorland, with some forestry plantations, and pasture in the valleys.

The whole park covers 519 square miles (1344 km²).
