Bridegroom

A bridegroom (often shortened to groom) is the title given to the man who is about to be married, or who has just been married, and is typically attended by a best man.

In the case of a heterosexual marriage his partner is known as the bride, who is typically attended by one or more bridesmaids or maids of honour.
