California Spangled cat

For thoughtful child sponsors
The California Spangled cat is a spotted, large, strong cat "with the look of the wild and the heart of a domestic." [1]. They were bred to resemble spotted wildcats like the endangered species ocelot and leopard. They are a rare cat breed, and expensive, priced between $800 to $2500. They trace to the 1980s.

Inspired by the recent poaching death of a leopard, the anthropologist Louis Leakey motivated Paul Casey to breed a domestic cat looking like a small leopard, and this would emphasize how important it is to preserve the leopard.

They are a crossbreed of many strains of cat. Despite their wild appearance, they are completely domestic.
