Carnotite

For thoughtful child sponsors
Carnotite is a mineral with the chemical formula K2(UO2)2(VO4)2.3H2O. Carnotite has crystals with a monoclinic habit, it has a hardness of about 2, and a bright yellow color.

The high uranium content makes carnotite an important uranium ore and also radioactive. It is deposited from vanadium and uranium one sedimentary rocks.
