Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong (born December 25, 1971 in London) is a British pop singer who performs under her first name Dido.

She is perhaps best known for her 2001 hit song "Thank You", which was used by the rapper Eminem as the basis for one of his own hit singles, "Stan". "Thank You" was her debut single, taken from the album No Angel, which was the top-selling album of 2001 in the United Kingdom. She has a brother Rollo Armstrong with whom she often collaborates. He is from the group, Faithless, and she has had a #6 single in 2002 being featured on their single, "One Step Too Far". Her second album, Life For Rent, was released September 30, 2003.

Her song "Here With Me" was used as the theme music for the television programme Roswell.

Named after the Greek mythological character, Dido was educated at Thornhill Primary, City of London Girls', and Westminster Schools. She grew up without the entertainment of television.
