Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford

Edward de Vere (April 22, 1550 - 1604) was the 17th Earl of Oxford. Some have theorized he was the actual author of William Shakespeare's plays. This belief is known as Oxfordian theory of Shakespearean authorship.
