Family values

Sponsorship the way you would do it
Family values are loosely-defined set of usually conservative political ideologies thought to favor and protect the authority and image of a traditional patriarchal family. Family values typically promote the elimination or repression of homosexuality, the support of political measures to ban or restrict abortion, softening the separation of church and state, supporting school prayer and corporal punishment of children, reinforcing gender roles, and eliminating violence and human sexuality from public discourse.

Use of the term family values to apply only to conservative values has led to some controversy. While conservative family values promote and support the authority and image of a traditional patriarchal family, they have been criticized as failing to support, or even promoting the destruction of, other types of families, such as families with single, gay, lesbian, or transgendered parents. "Family values" have also been criticized as failing to support issues of child care, education, family planning, and reproductive rights, which many believe to be important family concerns. Therefore, some more liberal groups have sought to expand the term family values to include political measures designed to support and strengthen families in general, rather than simply families who share certain conservative ideals.
