Fort Niagara is a 300 year old fortification site located near Youngstown, New York at the point where the Niagara River enters Lake Ontario. It was constructed during the French Regieme to protect the interests of New France. The fort played a significant part in the French and Indian War, the American War of Independence and the War of 1812.
