Frogger

For thoughtful child sponsors
Frogger is a classic video game which involved guiding a frog across roads and rivers to safety by hopping on and between obstacles, including cars and logs. Just avoid the alligator. This game was popular on the Atarii 2600 and included ten levels of increasing difficulty. Once the tenth level was completed, the game looped, returning to level 1.

Other games in the Frogger Series include: Ribbit and Frogger 3D

Frogger was also a popular arcade game. The Frogger Arcade game was featured in an episode of Seinfeld.

Warning: Plot details follow.

In the episode Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza are in a resturant and George remembers he had the high score on the Frogger game there when he was a kid. When he looks at the machine he finds he is still has the high score. The resturant is going to get rid of the game and they tell him he can have it. The trick is... he has to move the game without unplugging it, because if he unplugs the game the high score will be erased. This results in a very funny spoof of the actual game play of George trying to cross the street with the game without getting hit by a car.
