Gabapentin

Gabapentin (Neurontin) is an anticonvulsant medication prescribed to patients suffering from epilepsy. It is also used in the treatment of bipolar disorder.

It's off-label use has been in the treatment of anxiety disorders such as social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Gabapentin is believed to act on the brain receptors for the neurotransmitter GABA.
