General Santos City
General Santos City, or
GenSan for short, is a
city in
Mindanao in the
Philippines. It is the major port of the
province of
South Cotabato and is surrounded by Mount Mautum and Mount Magolo on the north, and Sarangani Bay to the south. The city has 26
barangays and a land area of 492.86 square kilometers, with a population of 327,123 in 1995.
