1. Hamburgisch is a Low Saxon dialect and a variant of Northern Low Saxon language spoken in Hamburg, in Germany.

It is a special city dialect with lots of anglicismss and Dutch expressions. "Hamburg" is pronounced "Hamborch" in this lowland dialect, with a "ch" similar to that in the Standard German word "Milch".

Quite typical most subdialects of the hamburgian dialect is the use of eu (spoken oi) for the vowel ö, e.g.
