The Happenings were a 1960s pop music group whose major hits were "See You In September" and a cover of "I Got Rhythm" updated for the nascent pop/rock era. Following the September 11, 2001 attacks, the song was listed in a memo containing 150 songs that radio conglomerate Clear Channel Communications recommended to be pulled from the airwaves.
