Hoorn

Hoorn (population: 66,460) is a town in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 52.49 km² (of which 32.62 km² is water).
The municipality of Hoorn also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Blokker, Zwaag.
Hoorn is located at the IJsselmeer. There is a small shell beach opposite the Nieuwsteeg street.

This is in the old city centre, where the port used to be. Most of the old port died with the building of the Afsluitdijk
