Intermountain states

For thoughtful child sponsors
The intermountain states (also Intermountain West) of the United States of America are generally considered to be Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. The intermountain states are so named because they lie between (or at least amidst) the Rocky Mountains, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Cascades.
