Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub
Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub (June 8, 1920 - August 12, 1991) was a colonel-general of the Soviet Air Force. He was made a Hero of the Soviet Union on three separate occasions. (1944, 1944, 1945).He was born in the village of Obrazheyevska in the Ukraine. During World War II he served as a fighter pilot, from March 1943 on, at several fronts (Voronezh, Steppen, 2nd Ukrainian, 1st Belorussian) and in different positions, starting from the senior airman up to the deputy commander of the air regiment.
