James W. Marshall
James Wilson Marshall was born in Lambertsville, New Jersey on October 8,1810. He was the contractor and builder of Sutter's Mill. (Sutter contracted with Marshall in August, 1847 to build the mill. He found the first gold in sutter's mill. He died on August 10, 1885.
