Judas Maccabeus

Judas Maccabeus, or Judah the Maccabee (Hebrew: Yehudah HaMakabi), was a Jewish patriot, and the most famous member of the Maccabees family.

His rededication of the Temple at Jerusalem (164 BCE) is commemorated by the feast of Hanukkah.
