Kilogram-force
The unit kilogram-force is the force exerted by one kilogram of mass in standard Earth gravity (9.80665 m/s²). One kilogram-force is equal to exactly 9.80665 newtons. The unit is abbreviated kgf.
Since the 1960's, it has not been an official metric unit, the official unit of force is the newton according to the SI website:
