Louis Amstrong and his Hot Seven was a jazz group organized to make a series of recordings for Okeh Records. The personel was largely that of Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five with added personel. The Louis Armstrong recording band as described there, consisting of trumpet, clarinet and trombone backed by a rhythm section of piano and banjo, was augmented during one week in 1927 by the addition of tuba and drums to the rhythm section.
