Louis Jourdan (born June 19, 1919) is a French actor, known chiefly for his suave manner and good looks.

Originally Louis Gendre, he was born at Marseilles and changed his surname to Jourdan before making his film debut in 1939. Refusing to act for the Nazi regime, he joined the underground resistance during the Second World War. In 1947, he made his first Hollywood film, The Paradine Case, and is now best remembered as the romantic lead in the film version of Gigi (1958). In later years, he played villains, including Count Dracula in 1977.
