Michael Frayn (born 8 September 1933) is a British playwright. He is mainly known as the author of Noises Off and the play Copenhagen involving Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg.

Currently, his play Democracy is a huge success in London (National Theatre); it dramatizes the story of German chancellor Willy Brandt and his personal assistant and East German spy Günter Guillaume.
