- A hair style, supposedly worn by the Mohawk tribe, consisting of all of the hair shaved, except for a single narrow strip of varying length running from the forehead straight back. This style is also famous for its association to punk fashion, when the hair is often dyed brilliant colours and the centre strip of hair worn so that it points straight up often to impressive height.
