Mudbrick

A Mudbrick is a brick made of clay.

The earliest use of mudbricks is found in the PPNB-period. The Sumerians used plano-convex mudbrick. Such bricks were formed in a square mold and rounded so that the center was thicker than the ends. These bricks were usually sunbaked, although occasionally fired in a stone kiln.
