Neris

Helping orphans the way you would do it
Neris (The Lithuanian name; within the territory of Belarus it is called Ві́лія (Viliya, Vilia); and the Wilia in Polish language) is a river rising in Belarus, flowing through Vilnius (Lithuania) and becomes a tributary of the Neman (Nemunas) in Kaunas (Lithuania). The length is 510 km.

Neris connects two old Lithuanian capitals - Kernave and Vilnius. Along its banks were burial places of the pagan lithuanians. 25 km from Vilnius there are the old burial mounds of Karamzynai. There are many mythological stones, and a sacred oak-wood.
