An oblast (Russian: о́бласть) is an administrative unit of the Russian Federation. Russian oblasts are further subdivided into districts (Russian: районы; English transliteration: rayony). The word is often translated as "province".

See also: Oblasts of Russia.

Oblasts are also administrative units of Bulgaria and Ukraine.

The corresponding term in Belarus is voblast and in Kazakhstan is oblysy.
