Pforzheim

Pforzheim is a city of 115,000 inhabitants in south-west Germany at the gate to the Black Forest. It is renowned for its jewelry-, gold- and clockwork industry.

It has an area of 98 km² and lies between the cities of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe at the confluence of three rivers (Enz, Nagold and Würm) and marks the frontier between Baden and Schwaben.

Cultural facilities include a multi-purpose theatre, a town library (in a new building), a museum for jewelry (Schmuckmuseum) and an University for Applied Sciences providing among others International (MBA) courses for foreign students .
