River Frome

The River Frome is a river in Dorset in the south of England. It rises to the east of Beaminster, passes through Dorchester, West Stafford and Woodsford. At Wareham it is joined by the River Piddle, also known as the River Trent, and from then on it is navigable for almost 8 miles of river estuary, past Poole harbour and Brownsea Island.
