Samajwadi Party

The Samajwadi Party (Socialist Party) is a political party in India. It describes itself as a democratic socialist party. It was founded on 4 October 1992. It is led by Mulayam Singh Yadav.

In the 13th Lok Sabha (1999-2004), it was the 5th largest party with 27 members (3 of whom were expelled later).
