Slovene (or Slovenian) (Slovene slovenski) refers to a person of the Slovene nationality or to the Slovene language, both largely though by no means exclusively confined to the republic of Slovenia whose citizens are called Slovenes (or Slovenians). The country of Slovenia, 21.000 square kilometres, is situated at the northeastern rim of the Adriatic sea and borders to Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia.
