Snatch
Snatch is a 2000 British-American comedy film written and directed by Guy Ritchie. The majority of the cast starred in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Besides the cast, the films share the same ideas and motifs while using separate characters and storylines.
The film follows several groups of people in the London underground crime scene who are all after a fairly large diamond. Like its predecessor, various people in each group are connected to people in others, each with their own motivations (besides the common one of wanting to get the diamond). When the film starts, none of these relationships are known to the viewer, but as it continues the separate storylines merge together into one, with one group essentially clueless as to what's going on and everybody else trying to kill each other.
Like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, one of the recurring motifs in the film is the use of black comedy.
Snatch stars Benicio Del Toro, Dennis Farina, Jason Flemyng, Vinnie Jones, Brad Pitt, and Jason Statham.
