Torpedinidae is a family of fish that have a rounded body and a pair of organs capable of producing an electric discharge, which is used to stun or kill prey.

Perhaps the most known member is the electric ray, also called crampfish and numbfish.

Torpedoes derive their name from the Torpedinidae.
