Vostok (Russian: Восток, translated as "East") is the name of:

Spaceflight

• The Soviet Vostok programme of human spaceflight
• The spacecraft used in that programme and also the basis of a spy satellite
• The rocket that was used to launch those spacecraft

• A Soviet Antarctic base
• The lake beneath this base, which ironically also seems to be destined to play a part in the space exploration, since it’s theorized that it resembles conditions of Icy Jovian moons, primarily Europa.
• Dalny Vostok is the Russian Far East.
• Vostok Island in the Pacific Ocean
