Westmannia

Westmannia, or VÃÂ¤stmanland, is a historical Province or landskap in middle Sweden. It borders to Sudermannia, Nericia, Wermelandia, Dalecarlia and Uplandia.

Westmannia is divided upon VÃÂ¤stmanland County, occupying the eastern half and ÃÂrebro County, which is claiming the western half.

Western VÃÂ¤stmanland traditionally belonged to the mining district of Bergslagen.

Arms granted in 1560. The arms is represented with a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Argent, in base tripple Mount Azure issuant from each Flames Gules."

Since 1772, Swedish Princes have been created Dukes of various provinces. This is solely a nominal title.
