Africa

Africa is a continent. It is separated:

to the north, from Europe, by the Mediterranean Sea and the Straits of Gibraltar
to the east, from Asia, by the Suez Canal and gulf; and from the rest of the world by the Indian Ocean
to the west, from the rest of the world, by the Atlantic Ocean.

(The Indian Ocean "connects" with the Atlantic Ocean at an imaginary line drawn due south between the Cape of Good Hope and Antarctica.)

Africa is generally accepted as being the place where the first humans lived.
