Live

Live (verb) means to enjoy life, i.e. to play.

A live (adjective) event means one closer to life, e.g. happening at the same time. Sports are usually "live", which means, shown as they really happen. It can also mean in the same place, as in, a theatre as opposed to a cinema, where the actors are in the same place and time as the audience.
