Mass

Mass is the amount of matter in a body. It is a scalar. The mass of an object is the same everywhere. The SI unit of mass is the kilogram, written as kg. A beam balance is used to measure mass.

A mass is another term for an object. A ball is a little mass, a moon is a big mass, and a star (like our Sun) is an even bigger mass.
