Wiki is net jargon for a kind of website -- like Wikipedia -- that lets anyone create and edit its pages. People can work together to make each others' articles better. If one person gets something wrong, then the next person can correct it. If you have something to add, then you shouldn't be scared to do it. This open editing can sometimes lead to arguments, but these can usually be dealt with on the Wiki's Talk pages.

The word Wiki is short for WikiWikiWeb. Wikiwiki is a word from Hawaiian, meaning "fast".
